How is a CT scan of the brain performed in Lviv?
CT of the brain in Lviv does not require special preparation. It is only necessary to refrain from eating for several hours before the procedure. The patient will need to change into light, spacious clothes and remove jewelry, dentures, hearing aids, glasses.
The NOVO Medical Center is equipped with a Toshiba AquilionTM PRIME 160 slice 3D computed tomography scanner, which makes it possible to conduct dynamic volumetric studies with a low radiation dose, quickly and accurately diagnose.
After preliminary preparation, the patient is conveniently placed on a flat moving table and fixed on it. Later, the table gradually moves into the device, and the sensors rotate around it, illuminating the selected structures. At this time, the X-ray technician is in the next room, but can communicate with the patient using a microphone. The main inconvenience is the need to lie still, but there are no unpleasant sensations during the examination. The entire examination procedure lasts approximately 20-30 minutes.
