On March 29, 2025, NOVO Medical Center acted as a co-organizer and participant in an incredible project to support everyone contributing to Ukraine’s Victory—a charity run called "Make the Next Step" by Next Step Ukraine.
The initiative’s slogan was "Run and Help Raise 1,000,000 UAH for the Rehabilitation of Wounded Soldiers at Next Step Ukraine." Participants could choose a distance based on their abilities: 5 km, 2.5 km, or 100 m, with each kilometer equivalent to 10 UAH to support the military.
More than a hundred participants converted their kilometers into a noble cause, supporting the Next Step Ukraine centers. The run began with the Defenders’ distance, featuring those currently on the path to recovery.
Representatives from sports schools, cadets of the Heroes of Kruty Lyceum, students of the Lviv State University of Physical Culture, as well as representatives of the Department of Sports, Youth, and Tourism of the Lviv Regional State Administration and the Lviv Regional Military Administration joined the initiative with enthusiasm. Notably, all event participants warmly welcomed the run’s ambassador, Taras Stadnytskyi.
The event was attended by the Director of NOVO Medical Center, Taras Lysak, and neurologist-vertebrologist Nazariy Vykrykach. Among the numerous gifts and prizes, two certificates for diagnostic services at NOVO were raffled off to participants.
After the run, a masterclass on tactical medicine was held by soldiers of the 67th Separate Mechanized Brigade. To conclude the event, everyone had the opportunity to enjoy a delicious kulesh (traditional Ukrainian dish).
