Brief reference
BOGDAN MALANYAK
The Lviv City Children's Clinical Hospital, on the basis of which the NOVO Center operates, is an example of the effective use of charitable assistance. For more than 10 years, the hospital has successfully cooperated with benefactors - organizations and private individuals both from Ukraine and abroad, in particular - from Canada and the United States of America. The Ukrainian diaspora of North America is always willing to respond to the needs of the hospital and provide the necessary assistance.
One of such great friends of Ukraine was Bogdan Zinovii Malanyak (1930-2013) - an outstanding figure in the field of medicine, a philanthropist who was born in Lviv Oblast, lived and worked in America and carried out an educational and humanitarian mission to Ukraine for almost half a century. Bohdan devoted half of his life to work at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center (Los Angeles), one of the best hospitals in the world. Throughout his life, he carried sincere love for his native Ukraine. He founded the Ukrainian National Choir "Kobzar" in Los Angeles, organized many large fundraising events to help Ukraine.
The "Wheels for Ukraine" assistance program for the disabled, training of medical specialists at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, support for young scientists - this is a far from complete list of assistance to the Motherland by its faithful son. Bohdan Malanyak was for many years the president and member of the advisory board of the California Association to Aid Ukraine, which even after his death continues to actively help Ukraine, including the NOVO Medical Center.
